Traditional Clothing and Acessories in Nigeria
There three major tribes in Nigeria are Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba. The minor tribes include Kanuri, Ijaw, Tiv, Idoma, Binis, Ibibio, Efik etc. These tribes have their cultural attire, traditions and foods.
THE HAUSAS (Northern Nigeria)
The men dresses in Baban Riga paired with embroidery Jallabia or Kaftan robe and embroidery hat known as Hula while the women puts on Abaya and Hijab to cover the hair.



THE IGBOS (Eastern Nigeria)
The men puts on a smart and trendy attire Isi-Agu with plain trousers, adorned beaded accessories, an Ofo (staff) or hand fan on his hand and a hat known as agwu or Okpu agu while the women wear a gown or a blouse with wrapper, beaded accessories for the neck, ankle, waist ears and waist, a head tie or coral decorative element on their head and Cow tail fly known as Ehi Odu Ada on their hand.



THE YORUBAS (Western Nigeria)
The men wear mainly embroidery Agbada with beads, while the women dress in Adure or Buba dress with Aso Oke (head gear) adorned with beautiful accessories.


THE EDO
The women are adorned with coral beaded accessories; their dresses (Ewu-ivie) are beaded. The male wear a blouse, a long skirt called Ukpesan, also adorned with beads and a hat.


IJAW
The women puts on beaded gown, beaded crown and accessories while men put on a large long sleeve shirt (Etibo), worn with a long piece of wrapper tied from the waist to ankle and a hat.


NIGERIA MEALS
When it comes to varieties of special delicacies, you can find that in every corner of the country, some tribes and states are known for some special meal/soup. These meals are prepared with beef, chicken, stockfish, crayfish, periwinkle, snail and many other sea foods.
